Capsule Geology	Saranac Island is underlain by rocks of the Paleozoic Sicker Group (GSC Open File 463). Pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite in gabbro are reported to occur on the Island (Geology, Exploration and Mining in B.C. 1972, page 265).
